Our Mission

Project Compassion, NFP's mission is to enhance the lives of low-income and homeless individuals in the community through education, compassion, and empowerment.

2005

Project Compassion started its first outreach program making 1,000 sack lunches a month

2006

Rachel and Project Compassion featured on the Tyra Banks Show

2011

Compassionate Resource Campus Opened

2013

Project Compassion launches the Girlz on Purpose Tour

2014

Project Compassion receives a Proclamation for 10 Years of Service

Rachel R. Jackson selected as L'Oréal Paris Women of Worth - Creating a national platform for Project Compassion

2016

Project Compassion hosts the largest water drive in Illinois and Missouri for homeless women, and children of Flint, Michigan

2020

Project Compassion serves over 6,000 meals a month during the COVID-19 pandemic

2020

 Project compassions hosts mobile markets to provide free meals to homeless and low-income families during the COVID-19 Pandemic

 

Annually on Fourth of July Weekend

Project Compassion sets up playpens in front of Walmart and asks people going into the store to select and donate an item off our organization’s wishlist to fill up the playpens
